Leaf Love Mini Quilt
September means brand new patterns for Make Mine Mini! And this time it's all about lovely leaves! We're talking a fun little wreath leaf perfect for a mini quilt, plus a companion pattern featuring a pair of sweet little leaves. I can describe it in text for a bit, but really, let's just get to the photos!
Make Mine Mini is a monthly mini quilt membership for foundation paper piecing enthusiasts. Each month, there are two new patterns to sew - designed specifically to be made into mini quilts.
Add to that - the patterns are available in multiple sizes. So whether you want a small mini quilt, a large mini quilt, or you want to make a bunch of these blocks to combine into a larger quilt... I've got you covered!
Let's have a closer look at these new patterns!
Wreath of Leaves is a beautiful circular design - but sewn with all straight lines. I made mine rainbow, but it looks fantastic in a variety of colours. Scroll down to see a few mockups in different colours!
Lovely leaves is a cute companion pattern featuring two of the leaves from the wreath. This comes in sizes from 5" to 10". You could make this as a mini-mini or put a few together for a cute mini quilt.
Keen to see how these patterns might look in different colours? here's a few mockups - just in case you don't love rainbow quite as much as I do (and that's ok - we can totally still be friends!).
These patterns are designed for those with experience with foundation paper piecing -but if you're new to the technique, don't let that put you off! You can brush up on your FPP skills with these free tutorials, or consider joining the Beginners Pattern Club where I share all my hints and tips in a self-paced video based course.
But if you love mini quilts and you love foundation paper piecing... then really you ought to come join Make Mine Mini! We'd love to have you!
