Make! Meet my newest fabric collection for Riley Blake Designs - arriving in stores in June 2023!
Make is full of rainbow, sewing notions, texty goodness and a whole bunch of fun. It's made up of 24 prints celebrating those beloved tools of our trade - the sewing machine, scissors and even a nod to our love/hate relationship with the seam ripper.
Here's a little video to see all the prints included in this line - I was a bit excited to find these cute little mini wooden bolts (designed by Sue Daley - a fellow RBD designer) to showcase these prints!
I think I'm a little obsessed with wrapping fabric on these bolts. The cuteness factor! Plus it was perfect for the theme of this collection.

I've designed two new quilt patterns for this line to show off all the colours! These patterns will be available with the fabric line in June 2023.
First up is a little ode to the sewing machine. "Just Sew" is a mini quilt that measures 25" square. It's foundation paper pieced, featuring the geometric sewing machine in the centre, in a circlet of hearts.
I used a mix of the black prints to create the sewing machine, then alllll the prints for the hearts. Also can we pause to look at the stripey rainbow binding? I have a feeling this is going to feature in most of my quilts from here out!
The second pattern is a foundation paper pieced quilt called "Rainbow Shimmer". It repeats the same block but in the different colours of the rainbow. The centre block shows off allll the colours.
In addition to these two patterns, I decided I needed a few pillows using these fabrics. I mean what better way to decorate the studio, right?
