Sew Spooky: Find your next Halloween make

Straight up, I’m a scaredy cat. I don’t do horror, or gore, or spooky things. My imagination is active enough as it is without fuelling it into the realms of nightmare. So when it comes to designing paper piecing patterns for  Halloween, I tend towards the less-spooky more-cutesy style patterns.

I’m also a cat=person so you’ll find all the cute cats, kittys and felines hanging about in these patterns ready for your next Halloween themed quilting project.

Here’s the not-so-spooky roundup of patterns!

Boo Crew

It all started with the ghost cat...then there had to be a mouse, and a dog... and suddenly there's nine ghost patterns!Less spooky, more cutesy!

Whether it's a ghost cat, ghost mouse, or a lil ghost panda, this bundle is spooktacularly cute!It features one boo-tiful little ghost plus eight lil animals in their best ghostly costume just waiting for you to sew.

Animals included: dog, bunny, panda, chicken, plain ghost, mouse, bear, cat
and deer.

Trick or Treat

I had an idea for a cute kitty hanging out with a pumpkin and I couldn't get it out of my head. So here it is - a little kitty - is it a trick or a treat? Well that all depends on how much you like cats!

Cat O Lantern

What do you sew for Halloween when you're a scaredy cat? How about a cute little Cat-o-Lantern? Combine a cute kitty face with a little pumpkin and you've got a Halloween make that's not so

spooky - just fun!

Crow (or Raven!)

While this is listed as a crow, it can easily do double duty as a raven. I know, I know, these two birds aren’t exactly the same, but it might do in a pinch 😉

Geo Bat

If you’re looking for a bat pattern that’s perfect to use up scraps, here it is! This geometric bat is not only cute but fun to sew!

Going Batty

Bats in the belfry! Okay not quite, but it is a trio of bats in flight. These silhouetted bats look great in a solid colour against a bright background. Perfect for a pillow or a mini quilt.

Geo Kitty

This paper pieced pattern is perfect for using up scraps and creating a cute cat silhouette. Make it a range of black scraps and you have the perfect black cat for the spooky season!

Happy sewing!
