Shine Together - A Moon Pattern!

I'm so excited to be a part of the newest collaborative low volume fabric line Riley Blake Designs is releasing - Hush Hush Vol 3! It's the perfect collection of low volume prints that you need to add to your stash.

My print for this collection, called Starlight, features a little rainbow moon amongst a sky of stars. The little moon is small in scale so it adds a little pop of colour without being overwhelming.

To promote Hush Hush vol 3, the team at Riley Blake Designers are offering a fun and free quilt pattern, Shine Together! Made up of Sawtooth Stars, these blocks feature different designs for the centre. Plus the RBD designers are offering alternate versions if you want to customise your quilt further!

Naturally... when it came to planning my alternate block design... it could only be a moon pattern!

Foundation paper pieced moon pattern featuring Hush Hush vol 3 as the background print

This is a foundation paper pieced pattern but it comes together very easily as it's made all in one section. That means there are no joins required! It's quick, and it's fun!

You can find this pattern as a free download in my shop by clicking here.

Or if you're feeling adventurous and would like a geometric Moon pattern, you can purchase the pattern in my shop here. Your purchase will include both the free version of plain moon as well as the geometric version - because we all like options!

Here's a little look at the geometric version and how it looks as the centre of a Sawtooth Star block! You can see how perfectly this little print, Starlight, works for the background.

If you decide you like the idea and want to dive in further and learn all my hints and tips in a video-based, self paced course, you ought to check out Foundation Paper Piecing Made Easy!
