Hey fellow FPP lover! If you’re looking for a place to be inspired, to share, to create, you’ve found your new paper piecing home.
This monthly membership brings brand new exclusive paper pieced patterns your way every month, inspiring you to dive into your stash and get sewing. No scrolling through patterns for hours deciding what to make next. It’s all right here!
Take one fun (and exclusive!) foundation pieced pattern, add your own splash of creativity with fabric and colour, mix well (or sew...), and tada - you have a fantastic FPP block to show for your efforts! Make it a mini quilt, a pillow, part of your next big quilt - just start making!
Here at Make Mine Mini, we’re a community of like-minded makers, sharing the love of paper piecing.
Two brand new FPP patterns arrive each month, no effort required. Patterns designed to inspire and delight and set you up for some quality time with your sewing machine.
Spend a few hours each month and create something beautiful - and tangible that you can point to and say “I made that!”.
Want it to be both pretty and practical? These are the perfect designs to add to table runners, tote bags, quilts, mini quilts, pillows, some of our members have even used them for quilted jackets!
👈 Here's what we're sewing this month!
The better question is what’s not included?
We don’t give you extra hours in the day to sew, sorry. That’s a little out of our scope.
What we do give you though is inspiration, happiness, and a sense of sewing satisfaction.
Then of course there's the patterns, plus an exclusive membership discount to save 25% on all the patterns in the Quiet Play shop.
Oh and your membership also includes... 👇👇👇
- love to foundation paper piece!
- want to sew a little whimsy into your life
- are looking for people to share your makes with
- love the idea of brand new patterns every month
It's maybe not for you if you...
- prefer traditional piecing
- don’t like surprises
- have never paper pieced before (but don’t worry, you can take our beginners course then come join us!)
Yes – the patterns are designed for intermediate and confident foundation paper piecers. That said, if you’re new to FPP, and you’re keen to give it a go, you’re very welcome! I’ve had beginners learn with some of my more complex patterns and are now hooked on FPP. However if you want to learn how to FPP first, check out the course for FPP beginners - Foundation Paper Piecing Made Easy.
You can access the learning platform for as long as your subscription is current. Any patterns released during a current subscription can be downloaded and saved so that you can always access them. The patterns from the membership are yours to keep forever but you’re responsible for saving them each month to your own computer/USB/Cloud storage.
Once you have signed up, you'll receive an email with the login details. You will need to log in using your email address and the password that you set up (I know, I know, another password!). But don't worry if you forget the password, it's very easy to reset.
You will need internet access to use the learning platform, and access to a printer to print off your pattern templates to sew.
Yes - with a caveat! If you're a member of Make Mine Mini, you get access to a secret squirrels shop where you can purchase any of the previous patterns with a 25% discount!
Otherwise the patterns stay exclusive to members only for minimum 12 months before they're available to purchase. Plus, they're cheaper in the membership!
Allow up to 15 minutes for the emails to be sent out. Then check that they haven't be filed in Spam/Junk. If you still haven't received any email, you can email me.
Please note: If you have previously unsubscribed from Quiet Play newsletters and emails, you won’t receive any future emails from me. This is a legal thing – so if you wish to receive my emails, you will need to resubscribe to the mailing list.
If you don’t wish to receive Quiet Play emails, you can still access the course at the login page learn.quietplaydesigns.com/courses/makeminemini using your email address and the password you set. You just won't get any email reminders, or updates throughout the membership.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. There is no lock-in period. Once you have placed a cancellation, your subscription will cease at the end of that billing period. You will no longer be able to access any of the existing content once your subscription ends, nor any of the new content.
To cancel, click My Account. Next select Billing from the menu on the left. Click on the tab for Subscriptions. This will show the details of your current subscription. On the right is the button to Cancel. Click that and cancellation will take effect at the end of the billing cycle.
Cancellation instructions are also included on the platform in the FAQ section. There's also a step by step guide on how to cancel by clicking here.
Nope! We have two options. There’s a place to chat and share your makes on the learning platform itself, and there’s also a private Facebook group. The FB community does tend to be more active so you are welcome to join at any time.
Afraid that's a firm no. It is one subscription per person. You cannot share your password or login details with anyone else – guild member, friend, family member, next door neighbour. The subscription is for one person only.
Sharing a subscription or patterns violates the terms and agreements of Make Mine Mini, and it also takes away from my livelihood. This is my full time business and income, and I work hard to provide quality patterns and resources in this membership. I’m grateful to you for respecting that and ensuring you’re honouring my intellectual property (and ensuring my chickens still get fed!).
Send me a message and let's chat! Please note that I live in Australia so my time zone may be quite different to yours but I will reply when I can:)
Hello! I'm Kristy Lea from Quiet Play. I'm a rainbow lover, foundation piecing fanatic and virtual cheerleader. I'm also Aussie quilter with a passion for sewing. Next to rainbows (and possibly chickens), it's my favourite thing.
My quilting journey started over 14 years ago and once I discovered FPP, I never looked back. I love to design patterns with bold, geometric designs, and mine often feature rainbow colourings. But we can totally still be friends if rainbow isn't your thing.
I've been designing FPP patterns since 2012, spent a few years designing fabric with Riley Blake Designs, and co-founded the digital quilting magazine Make Modern. To say quilting and sewing is my life would be getting close to accurate.
If you love to play with fabric, cut it up and sew it back again, create beautiful foundation paper pieced patterns, then this is the place for you. I'd love for you to join us and create your own quilty magic!
