As Valentine's Day approaches, it turns our mind to things we can sew to show those dearest to us that we love them. Because that's what we do as quilters - we put our love into fabric. To help make it easier to find some love themed projects, I've put together a little round up of some patterns that might suit.
Of course these don't need to be just for Valentine's Day - every day of the year is a great day to tell someone how much they mean to you - whether in a relationship, or for your family, or even for your fur babies! So here are a few pattern suggestions - something for everyone.
Heartfelt - this foundation pieced pattern makes for a quilt full of love - or just make one block for a sweet cushion or wallhanging.
2. Simple Hearts - these little hearts come in a range of sizes from 3" up to 7" so it's perfect to fit any size project that you need.
6. Geometric Heart - this one is geometric on the inside - looks great in one colour or go rainbow
7. Love Letter - a cute little way to show your love - and feature some fave fabrics
8. Love - a simple statement with a little love heart added in
9. Hug - a free download - because everyone needs a hug and this is a lovely fabric way to share it with someone. (It was inspired by Erin (@onceuponadonkey), and her friend RebeccaLyn (@makingrebeccalyn). To honour the sentiment behind this, this is a free pattern for personal use.)
10. XOXO - a simple patchwork + FPP quilt for the XOXO
Bonus! I Heart Sewing - okay so not technically Valentine's Day themed - but who doesn't love their sewing machine?
Hope you find something to inspire you to sew - whether it's for someone else, or sew just for you. Zero judgement here ;) If you love to foundation piece and are looking for more patterns, pop over and check out the shop. Happy sewing!
